2004 Lagoon 570

Suva

Aldebaran is a classic Lagoon 570 ocean cruising catamaran, featuring long, slick hulls for added performance and stability. Price greatly reduced - very motivated seller

Built to a very high specification at Construction Navale Bordeaux, France, leaders in composite materials manufacturing, the hulls are of multidirectional fiberglass fabrics with carbon reinforcement structures in high load and pressure areas. The internal structural component is balsa-core and vacuum bagged laminate with vinylester resin used throughout the process.

Designed for performance and strongly built it has lots of space inside and outside providing pleasant and safe sailing. Cabins are comfortable, having en suite bathrooms and private closets. The interior has a gorgeous wood finish, giving a feeling of solidness and warmth. Spacious saloon has sitting sofa, dining table, nav table, entertainment center and completely equipped galley. Panoramic windows make the space perfect for entertainment, relaxation and sailing. The cockpit is impressively large, sheltered from the sun or rain, lots of space on decks and trampolines.

The boat was through a major refit in 2014-2018 which included for instance the following:

  • installation of the new rigging with carbon custom made twisting mast, new Incidences sails
  • Raymarine radar and navigation system,
  • new set of batteries
  • Victron energy inverter/charger and additional Dolphin charger
  • Harsonic ultrasonic anti fouling system
  • Yanmar engines overhaul including pumps and alternators replacement
  • 2×Watt&Sea hydro generators installation
  • New rudder bearings
  • lots of work on steering, electrical and plumbing systems.

The boat was in Grenada Marine dry dock, splashed in 2018, did an extensive cruising around Caribbean.

All major systems checked and proved workable. New sails and rigging enabled to easily reach 7-8 knt of speed with 10-15 knt wind and 10 knt in 15-20 knt wind conditions.

She is easy to handle moving extremely smoothly and efficiently upwind and surfing downwind. In terms of performance/comfort ratio this boat is hard to beat representing a unique opportunity for leisure or offshore cruising.

It was a very smooth crossing from Panama to Tahiti, where she is now located.

Seriously for sale - price just greatly reduced

Manufacturer Provided Description
The LAGOON 570 replaces the eldest sailboat of the line: the LAGOON 55/57, which after more than ten years of service takes a well-deserved retirement. Replacing a legend is difficult, and after 8,000 hours of research, the new model is ready for sea: with more sail area, more interior volume, better solar protection, better performance â?? all the while preserving the best qualities of its predecessor: extraordinary balance between the cockpit and the salon, panoramic visibility from both the interior and exterior, precise cabinetry finishwork, and the lack of concessions solely in the name of style found in its competitors.
