The Marquis 500 Sport Coupe was designed in partnership with Italy’s Nuvolari-Lenard Naval Architects and Marquis’ U.S. based design group. The result was a trend setting sport coupe whose triple-IPS power represented a striking departure from European sport yachts of her era. The salon is open and inviting with large forward and side windows and an expansive power sunroof overhead. The main deck from the swim step, through the cockpit, through the salon, and up to the helm station and galley is one continuous space when the aft doors are open. The helm is to port, opposite the galley, and the interior features Zebrano cabinetry, Brazilian cherry floors and designer fixtures throughout. Belowdeck are three staterooms (queen berths in the master and VIP and single berths in the starboard guest cabin) and two full heads. With the push of a button the transom lounge slides aft expanding the size of the cockpit. The hydraulic swim platform makes lowering the tender in and out of the water an easy task. Triple 435hp IPS 600 Volvo diesels cruise the 500 SC at 30 knots (mid to high 30s top).
